Maggie's First Day

Maggie continues to prove her resilience and is getting great care from an expert team!

The doctors conducted testing on her heart today to identify that not much had changed since our early expectations coming into this journey. Namely, her little heart struggles to do its job, and Maggie needs careful support as her heart finds its way.

She remains in the Cardiac NICU, where they have her on a ventilator and receiving medication to support heart functioning. There are nurses assigned to constantly watch her, which seems so fitting as we think she warrants constant admirers! Doctors hope to maintain this for a few days and continue monitoring her, with the intention of weaning her and reevaluating next steps then.

Not a moment of this precious life is one we take for granted, as we are reminded constantly: it is a precarious journey with dozens of triumphs and setbacks stacked into what already seems like a lifetime of a day.

Thank you all for your constant prayer and intercession on our behalf. Grace abounded today, but we know that much more is warranted. Please continue to lift up our sweet girl!

(Disclaimer: Christine submitted this on behalf of Greg and Jamie. And, I assure you that I witnessed the fruits of your prayer alive in them today. They were both so faithful to the path God has placed them on. Even so, it was a long day, with much to come. They will continue to benefit from your love and prayer.)

  1. Maggie, Jamie and Greg, you're constantly in my thoughts and prayers. The Mary Bible study group and All Saints MOPS are praying, too.
